I didn’t realize how important assistive technology was for disabled people. Everyone knows how rapidly technology has grown but with that so has assistive technology. Although not many people know about this type of incredible technology. This type of technology changes lives of many people and also makes their dreams come true. Students with disabilities are extremely smart but with their lack of movement or speech they can’t express their intelligences as easy as we do. With the right assistive technology they can get through to the world and share their brilliant minds. With these technologies they can take test, speak, move better, communicate, and even play music (special horn with touch pads and hand made arms to play the piano)! University of Michigan helps students get the assistive technology they need. The younger they are at learner about these assistive technologies the quicker they will master them. Once they have mastered them later on they can then focus on the curriculum and the material of school work. Technology changes their lives and makes a better future for them!!
